The FIFA World Cup is coming to the United States in the summer of 2026, and Cosmos Taverna in Victorville is your spot to watch every match. This is the first time the World Cup has been on American soil since 1994, and matches are being played right down the road at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. This is a once-in-a-generation event, and we are going all out for it.
The tournament runs from June 12 through July 19, 2026. That is five weeks of the biggest sporting event on the planet, with 48 teams (expanded from 32 for the first time), 104 matches, and billions of viewers worldwide. Every single match will be on our 75+ HDTVs.
The High Desert has one of the most passionate soccer communities in the Inland Empire. Between the American fans who grew up on the USMNT and the huge Mexican-American community that lives and breathes El Tri, World Cup season at Cosmos is going to be electric. We are showing every match, in English and Spanish coverage, from the group stage through the final.
There is no cover charge for any World Cup match at Cosmos. Walk in, grab a seat, and watch the world’s best players compete on the biggest stage.
The United States Men’s National Team will play group stage matches at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, just 90 miles south of Victorville on the 15 Freeway. SoFi is hosting 8 World Cup matches, including USA vs. Paraguay on Opening Day (June 12) and a second USA group match on June 25.
Getting to SoFi for a World Cup match is going to be a nightmare. Traffic in the LA Basin on a normal day is brutal. Add 70,000 fans trying to get to Inglewood, and you are looking at hours of gridlock, $100+ parking, and ticket prices that could run into the thousands for good seats. Or you could come to Cosmos, park for free, and watch it on 75+ screens with a cold beer in hand for a fraction of the cost.
The USMNT has real momentum going into this tournament. Playing on home soil gives them a massive advantage, and the American soccer fan base has grown dramatically since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. When the US plays, every sports bar in the country fills up. Cosmos will be no different.
We expect USA matches to draw our biggest crowds of the summer. If you want a guaranteed seat for USA vs. Paraguay or any USA knockout round match, plan to arrive at least an hour before kickoff.
Let’s be real about the High Desert: Mexico matches at the World Cup are going to be just as big as USA matches at Cosmos, if not bigger. The Mexican-American community in Victorville, Hesperia, Adelanto, and across the Victor Valley is deeply connected to El Tri. When Mexico plays in the World Cup, it is not just a game. It is a cultural event.
Mexico will play group stage matches at venues across the US (specific host cities TBD based on draw results). All Mexico matches air on both FOX/FS1 (English) and Telemundo (Spanish). We show both feeds at Cosmos, so you can watch in whichever language you prefer.
Beyond El Tri, the High Desert has strong fan bases for Liga MX clubs like Club America, Chivas de Guadalajara, and Club Tijuana. The World Cup brings all of those fans together under the green, white, and red. If you have ever been in a Mexican restaurant or bar during a World Cup match, you know the energy. That is what Cosmos is going to feel like for five weeks straight.
Most sports bars in the High Desert focus on football and basketball. Cosmos is one of the few places where soccer fans, both American and Mexican, can watch the biggest tournament in the world on big screens with real sound and a crowd that cares about every goal.
